Cathedrals of high technology in former industrial buildings: The old AEG site on the Humboldthain, where for decades enormous machines were constructed, has been converted, after a construction period of five years, to a teaching and research centre for the Technical University of Berlin.
It now provides the scientists of the university with a diverse range of large scale testing and experimental facilities for research and teaching purposes.
